Croatia drives in style! The sale of new cars is on the rise, and one model is winning the hearts of drivers.

From January to March of this year, 13,247 new cars were sold, which is even 35.7% more than last year.
In March, as per the Promotion Plus data, 6,274 cars were sold, which is 61.6% more compared to March of last year. Volkswagen vehicles are the best selling and hold the first place with 1,426 units sold, which means that VW has a 10.8% share in total sales. Renault takes the second place with 1,418 cars sold and a 10.7% share, followed by Skoda with 1,262 cars sold and a 9.5% share. Kia follows with 1,038, and Dacia with 981 units sold.

The best-selling model in the first quarter of 2023 is the Renault Clio, with 670 units sold. Dacia Duster follows with 410, Opel Corsa with 380, Dacia Sandero with 370, Skoda Octavia with 346, Suzuki SX4 with 324, Suzuki Vitara with 314, and Volkswagen Taigo concludes the list of models with over 300 units sold with 309.

In March, Renault Clio takes the first place with 410 cars sold, followed by Opel Corsa with 245, and Suzuki SX4 with 188 sold cars.

From January to March of this year, the most units sold were with gasoline engines, 6,868 sold cars, or 51.8%, followed by hybrid cars, 2,999 sold cars, or 22.6%. Diesels follow with 2,424 cars sold or 18.3%, and electric cars that were chosen by 556 Croatian buyers, and cars powered by gas by 400.

The most cars were sold in the Zagreb region, 5,871, followed by the Split-Dalmatia County (1,124), Primorje-Gorski Kotar (985), Istria (756), Bjelovar-Bilogora County (640), Osijek-Baranja County (562), Zadar (501)... while at the bottom is Lika-Senj County with 58 new cars sold.
